죽음이 그대 가까이 있다
Death is near to you

그대는 이제 시들어버린 나뭇잎과 같으니,
죽음의 사자가 그대 가까이 있네.
이제 긴 여정에 들어가려 하는데,
그대에게는 (그 긴 여정에 쓸) 노자가 한 푼도 없네.
You are now like a withered leaf the messengers of death are near you you are about to set out on a long journey (yet) you have no provisions(for the journey).열심히 노력하라
Strive hard

그대 안에 섬(귀의처)을 만드시오.
부지런히 노력하고 현명해지시오.
불순한 행위들을 제거하고
도덕적 오염에서 자유로워지면
그대는 성자들의 세계로 들어가리니.
Make an island unto yourself. Strive quickly become wise.
Having removed impurities and being free from moral
defilements, you shall enter the abodes of the Ariyas.
